We all know action cameras are the ultimate travel camera because they are very portable and easy to use. Well, as important as the cameras are, they need accessories to become more versatile and that’s what I want to talk to you about today. Recently, we reached out to this company called GDome to see if they would let us try one of their products. They manufacture domes for GoPro to take shots under and above the water just like the one you see in the picture. After trying the dome for a few days, it has become one of my favorite accessories for my GoPro, especially when I am at the pool or anywhere under water. Some key features of the dome are :
- Individually pressure tested to 130ft / 40m
- Split Shots Unbelievably Easy To Get
- Close To 30% Improvement In Camera Field of View When Underwater
- Drastic Focal Length Improvement For Under Water Shots
- Optically Correct Dome
- Full Access To All Housing Buttons
- Split Line Indicator Engraved On BackPlate
- O-Ring Compression Seals System – No Silicone Or Glue Is Used To Create A Seal
- Full View Of Back LCD Screen
- Modular GDome System
- The entire GDome can be disassembled using the Alan Key provided
- As new cameras become available, you can upgrade just the BackPlate – no need to buy a complete new dome
- The GDome is super easy to disassemble and reassemble, no vice required!
